Through the rough expedition I conquered her heart. The feeling of longing was like finding of long-lost love although it was the first taste. Days were just an eye blink when companion was my girl. Everything seemed easy going with her company. The more I spent time with her, the more I was submerging in the ocean of her love. Her simplicity surmounted my complexity; her softness/politeness transcended my harshness; and the way she reciprocated to my love fueled my feelings to her. It was great experience for me of love. I would think that the love is the greatest agent of change and the best way of living.
We were having best time of our school life. I didn’t encounter any hindrances of life with her and she would never complain of anything. Sometimes I used to think that I am the best lover living on earth because she hasn’t nagged me once although our patch-up had past several months. We would welcome each other in the morning with smile satisfying inner hug; we would bid adieu in evening looking to each other until the earthly barrier becomes our vision’s hindrance. We spent our nights solving/discussing homework through SMS exchange and bade good night wishes through sound kisses.
One Sunday, she invited me to her parents. At first I was quite reluctant but her innocent expression just compelled me to say ‘yes’. I accumulated all courage within me and went to her home. I took few kilograms of local rice and a bottle of juice as a token of gesture. When I was near her house, she was already waiting for me outside. I greeted them. In the meantime, “mom…dad…he is the guy,” she interrupted. Then she pulled me and seated me face to face with her mom and dad. Meanwhile, her father, “my daughter has been talking about you for so long. She always tells, ‘mom and dad, please find time to meet my best and helpful friend.’ I crave to meet you earlier but didn’t get right time. So I told her to invite you today, thank you for coming.” “My pleasure apa…” I murmured and silently thank god for not revealing our true relationship status. I was quite relieved after hearing that ‘best and helpful friend’. Then they enquired about her study, character in school and all. I undoubtedly told the best answers to them. They also encouraged us to help each other and advised us to focus on studies. They too did remind us of our exams. By then only 15 days was left but we were sure enough to get through.
Within 15 days we putted our heart and soul in studies. So we did exam to the best of our ability. It was a moment to rejoice that after doing exam, we were so confident to qualify to 11th grade. We talk about going to the same school and selecting same streams. Together, we were building castles in the air…In the excitement of upgrading to 11th grade; we waited for the result…
